In 2024, Harvest Haliburton continued to advance its vision for a vibrant, sustainable local food system by building partnerships, engaging the community, and taking meaningful action on key priorities

In 2024 Harvest Haliburton
​
1.   Harvest Haliburton collaborated with Trent University student Abby Junkin to produce a detailed report on The Role of Apple Trees in Haliburton Local Food System. Read the report here.
2.   Submitted letters of advocacy to Dysart et al. Council, urging continued support for Haliburton County's Farmers' Market.

3.   Completed a comprehensive review of Haliburton County's Official Plan, with funding from the Haliburton County Development Corporation.
4.   Introduced a new monthly e-newsletter to keep our community informed on local food news, events, and initiatives across Haliburton County. View December 2024 Newsletter here.
